and we're back!

Finally! We're connected to the rest of the world at the lightning-fast speed of -oh, I don't even know, it's abysmally slow. I'm just glad to have something. And my first order of business is to attract visitors... so the new house is amazing. It's on a peninsula so we're steps away from the water in any direction - I love it!
Just past the palm trees is a 4 or 5 foot drop-off and then, the beach.

The back of the house has a mangrove forest leading into a lagoon, which will be perfect for kayaking when or if we eventually have kayaks.

And did I mention that it has walls? It does. It's my favorite part of the whole house. I can't even explain how happy I am to have walls again. I didn't realize how much I missed them. The old house only had screens from floor to ceiling. It had interior walls, but it's so nice to know that a strong breeze won't blow the curtains straight out so I flash the neighbors when I'm changing. Walls are pretty cool.

And now I need to get to work on those old Arts Festival posts. It was probably the coolest thing I've ever gone to so I have tons of photos to dig through.

One question, do you really actually live there? I mean, I know you do but, that is paradise.

Fun blog! And adorbale, handsome boys! I think the last time I saw them, they were in diapers :)

Wait! Is your house on Coconut Point? Because if it is, WOW! That's a beautiful area. I remember my uncle and aunt had a place there almost towards the tip. It was great.

Ohmigosh! You really do live in paradise! Can we come? I love your photos! I have shown them to my mom and Bryan's mom (you know, Iris Schmutz). I like to brag that I have a friend that lives in paradise!

Kristin - I have that same thought every so often. Sometimes I just can't believe we live here.

Amy - Absolutely, I would love it if you came to visit! And when else are you going to have a free place to stay and a personal tour guide on a tropical island?! Imagine the bragging rights if you came here... ;)

Fogfan - what's your family name? Do your aunt and uncle still live on Coconut Point? We might know them!

We are so glad you've got internet again! We've missed seeing your updates. Your place looks awesome, do you have pics of your house too?

yeah, we took some pictures of the house, but I didn't want to post them. It's a small island so I'm sure if anyone tried they could figure out which one is ours, but I just didn't want to advertise it.

The house is a lot bigger than our Lion's Park house. It's still a quirky Samoa house though - things just don't always make sense!
