I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts

There they are [stacked up, painted &] standin' in a row.
Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head!

And it's not just coconuts! In preparation for the Pacific Arts Festival, this island has gone all out with decorations, but not the kind of decorations that we'd imagine using anywhere else. The island is looking pretty incredible. The bus stops have been painted.

There are welcome signs all over the place.

The trees and power poles have been wrapped in fabric, palm fronds, and fine mats.

The rocks, trees, and flower pots have been wrapped in fabric and painted.

And the tire planters and walls all have a fresh coat of paint.
Some buildings even got fancy paint jobs.

Painted bamboo posts are everywhere. The spiky ribbon things are different though. I haven't seen many of them (I think they look like dandelion seeds - awesome!)

I know there are a lot of pictures here, but once I started taking pictures of all the crazy decor, I couldn't stop!
