Christmas Eve

Aaron had a Christmas Eve party again this year with lots of mulled wine, a traditional turkey dinner, and a hilarious gift exchange. It's been one of the highlights of Christmas on the island for us.

The gift exchange never disappoints. The Samoan flag and ukulele were in high demand, meaning they were stolen and re-stolen and re-stolen all night long - no lame "3 steals" rule here! Steal until you get it! Our kids managed to scoop up most of the toys - a light/sound sword, frisbee, star theater, and play-dough. They were pretty happy with it all.

Ned ended up with both floppy hats that made it under the tree. I'm sure that must mean something.
We had a great time - thanks Aaron!

Looks like fun!
Much as I love our cold, frosty weather, I wouldn't mind a bit of warmth just now. Check out our freezing fog! Does it ever get cold with you?

Wow, looks like a great party, your parties are always so interesting (i'm remembering the fruit bat!) and just look at you all in your shorts, I am VERY jealous, I do not share Sue's enthusiasm for Mr Frost, gimme sunshine!!
Have a fun Hogmanay!!

It's summer for us now so it's a bit hotter than usual, but it never gets cold. We've gotten so used to it that when it gets to the low 70s we're freezing though!

I do miss the cold sometimes, but I never really enjoyed it that much in reality... so this is a pretty good location for me!
